This is not a Maclaren product it is made by Wenzelite, but it is compatible with the Major Elite.
Although
Lateral Supports and perhaps a
Chest Pad can be fitted to the Major Elite the seat is not designed for a child who needs trunk support. This will usually require a more clinical piece of equipment. Unfortunately clinical pushchairs are often heavy and far less practical than the Major Elite for everyday use.
The Back2Go is a seat support which can go some way to converting a standard seat into a more supportive seat. It can be adjusted for the child's needs and moved easily from one standard seat to another, e.g. chair to pushchair.
The Back2Go back support is the
back only part of the product above, i.e. without the
Head Support which can be purchased separately, see below, or it can be used with a
Winged Headrest.
Note this addition will not be suitable for all children and we recommend that you seek the advice of your child's health advisor.
Fits quickly to the Major Elite with two large straps clipped securely at the rear of the seat. The Back2Go takes less than a minute to mount on the Major Elite and must be removed before folding the pushchair.
The
Lateral Supports are individually adjustable and can be fitted at three levels over a 10cm range, (adjustable vertically by a further 3.5cm). and horizontally by 3.5cm each side giving a minimum width of 15cm and a maximum of 22cm.
A padded nylon
Trunk Harness with central zipper is included but this is removable if you prefer to use the standard 5 point Major Elite Harness.
If you choose to use the Back2Go trunk harness then we recommend you remove only the Major Elite Shoulder Harness straps but still use the waist and crotch straps for safety.The Back2Go is substantially made of quality components - 4mm thick curved plastic back, 4mm aluminium plate lateral supports, velour type fabric with some but limited padding
